We offer Classes for all ability levels at Bluebird Quilt Studio.  Our most popular classes include our beginning quilt class and our long arm quilting class.  Join us today for inspiration, encouragement and instruction on your quilting journey.

Classes: March-May 2019


SKILLBUILDERS $60 start up
This year our Skillbuilder quilt is a beautiful array of scrappy blocks with multiple construction techniques. Start up fee includes pattern and your choice of background fabrics. When you bring back your completed block, the following month’s block is free. ($5 for late or incomplete blocks). See our website for a photo of the finished quilt.

LONG ARM QUILTING CLASSES $50

Learn to quilt on our Handi Quilter long arm quilting machine and get those quilt tops finished in no time! Offered 1st and 3rd Monday mornings OR 2nd and 4th Thursdays (morning or afternoon)

Pat and Jane are publishing the sequel! We had so much fun with the first one, we decided to continue. Book available, see staff for ordering.

TEENY TINY COLLAGE $45 plus pattern (2 sessions)
These Little collage quilts finish at 16 X 20 inches and are perfect for using those small scraps! There are many different subjects to choose from including sea turtle, mermaid, flamingo, bear, and vintage trailer. We will have additional supplies available for purchase. The class begins with a short prep class to get you going and then a hands on session to put it all together.

Learn to “paint” your own unique landscape with fabric. Fun and easy, bet you can’t stop at just one!

ADULT AND TEEN BASIC SEWING $95 (4 sessions)
This class teaches basic sewing skills; how to use a sewing machine, fabric basics, tools of the trade.  The projects include a pillow case, a zippered pouch and a reversible apron. (cost of class does not include supplies- 3 yds of fabric and pattern)

THREAD PAINTING BASICS $35 Come learn the basics of thread painting, including information about thread, needles, stabilizers, etc.

Come learn the flip and fuse technique by Marcia Marmening. Create a beautiful tablerunner just in time for fall!

NEW YORK BEAUTY $35 (2 sessions)

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make a New York Beauty quilt? You will learn the basics of paper foundation piecing as you create this fun tablerunner from scraps or coordinated fabrics.
