LONG ARM BASICS

  Learn the basics of long arm quilting. This class is required  to rent our studio machine.  $99 includes all materials for the class.  Call for class availability.  Class will be scheduled to meet your needs.  Rental rates are $25/hour or purchase a 10 hour punch card for $200  

FUN AND FABULOUS ICE DYING-

This fun, hands-on class will teach you the fundamentals of ice dying- you can create beautiful textures and colors with this simple technique.   The class includes 4 fat quarters of dye-able white fabric, all dyes and supplies.

BARN BLOCK PAINTING CLASS (WITH GUEST TEACHER)

Paint yourself a barn block 4’x4’ (2 day minimum) or a 2’x’ 2’ barn block.  Enjoy painting on the patio at Bluebird.  

Sept 20-21 Sept 27-28,

$199 for 4’x4’ (2 day class);  $125 for 2x2 (1 day class)   Class fee includes all supplies.  $50 non refundable deposit to hold your place.  Space is limited for this class.  

GET OUT OF TOWN BAG CLASS

Join Marilyn in the journey to create THE bag for your travel adventures. This is a  “By Annie” classic design.  The class will focus on some bag making basics, perfect for constructing  “By Annie” bags.  Kits will be available for $135 with your choice of fabrics.  June 12 and 26 9:30 to 2 p.m.

ONE BLOCK WONDER CLASS

Enjoy the magic of kaleidoscopic quilts in this two day class.  We will cut and stitch blocks in the first session and design the quilt in the second session using tips from the author of One Block Wonder Panel Quilts.  Suggestions for piecing, pressing and stitching these awe inspiring quilts will be shared.  This type of quilt is best enjoyed with quilty friends!  June 11 and 25.  Book and 60 degree ruler required for class.  Class $45, 25% discount on class fee if class supplies are purchased at Bluebird.  (Any panel will work for this class.)

COURTSIDE BAG CLASS

Pickleball lovers this is your bag!  Hit the courts in style with this fun bag.  Kits will be available with choice of fabric.  July 18 and 25 9:30 a.m.  to 2 p.mClass $45 or discounted with complete kit from Bluebird.

FREE MOTION ONE DAY CRASH COURSE- DOMESTIC/STATIONARY LONG ARM EDITION, IN OUR STUDIO Gain skill and confidence free motion stitching on your domestic machine or stationary long arm. Class limited to 8 people. 

$120.  Fee includes class and kit pre-sandwiched and ready to stitch!  

FREE MOTION, ONE DAY CRASH COURSE: LONG ARM EDITION, IN YOUR HOME STUDIO!  ZOOM CLASS  

Gain skill and confidence in free motion stitching on your home long arm machine.

TREASURE SHOP HOP! April 18-27

RETREAT (AND SLEEP IN YOUR OWN BED!)

Join us for the Bluebird Quilt Studio In Town Retreat June 5-8. 9 a.m. to ? each day at the Holiday Inn on Market Place Blvd.. Stitch, chat and solve a Mystery Quilt   and two smaller projects.

BLUEBIRD SKILL BUILDERS CLUB 

Learn the art of quilting, one fun skill at a time.  This monthly Club features a mini class from Marilyn, news about Bluebird happenings, and a special featured BQS sale item.. Third Saturday of each month, 10 a.m. Club is free, you may opt into our yearly club project for a fee.  Ask a staff member for details.  We are currently working on a fun Poppie Cotton Block of the Month, our NEW  DAYDREAM  PROJECT Block of the Month launches in July!  See Picture below.)  

Third Saturday each month, $50  non refundable  deposit to guarantee fabric for Daydream quilt as designed by Swirly Girl Designs/ Timeless Treasure batiks.  Discount on kit given to skill builder club members.  Call us for details.

Join Leigh Zipf, National Handi Quilter Educator for a two day studio education event using Pro Stitcher Simulator/ BQS studio long arms with ProStitcher and Pro Stitcher Designer Software.     Unlock the mystery of custom quilting.  Bring your quilt top for design suggestions and to walk away with a plan and the power to custom quilt your top!  Lap top (Windows systems recommended) preloaded with your ProStitcher Premium and Prostitcher Designer Software required with a working “roller wheel” mouse with usb connection for ease of use with this software.  If your quilt top is not quite ready to quilt, bring the pattern to design your quilting adventure!)  All skill levels welcome, however, we are suggesting newbies come to the first session. Class size is limited.

July 9-10  2024 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Join National Handi Quilter Educator Karen King in this two day event.  This is an introduction to the long arm quilting experience for new quilters.  You will learn the basics of how to thread, adjust, load and quilt on a long arm system as well as beginning free motion quilting, quilting with rulers and an overview of quilting with ProStitcher for computer guided stitching.   Lunch included.  Class size is limited.
